Moderna and Pfizer Now Available in All Health Facilities and Vaccination Centers

Jakarta Government through Health Agency set new policy regarding COVID-19 vaccination which is effective starting today, Thursday (9/16).

Moderna vaccines can be accessed by participants with Indonesian ID card (KTP) throughout Indonesia. While Pfizer vaccine can only be accessed in vertical hospitals

Jakarta Health Agency Head, Widyastuti conveyed, Health Sub-agencies and Health Centers will optimize health facilities and vaccination centers in each regions to provide all types of vaccination simultaneously, both Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Pfizer.

"Starting today, Moderna and Pfizer vaccination services are available in all health facilities and vaccination centers in Jakarta. Moderna vaccines can be accessed by participants with Indonesian ID card (KTP) throughout Indonesia. While Pfizer vaccine can only be accessed in vertical hospitals (hospitals under Health Ministry) and health facilities under Heath Ministry, as well as TNI/Police health facilities for Indonesian citizens with Jakarta ID card and domiciled in Jakarta," she explained at Jakarta Health Agency Office, Central Jakarta, Thursday (9/16), as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

Furthermore, she mentioned that Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are given according to target for dose 1. Target for Pfizer vaccine is  residents aged 12 years and over and pregnant women. While target for Moderna vaccine is residents aged 18 years and over and pregnant women.

"People who are immunocompromised, such as severe comorbidity, autoimmune, patients on immunosuppressant therapy must bring medical certificate. Health Center will coordinate with RSUD if further examination is needed by prospective participants according to medical indications," she said.

In order to accelerate dose 2 vaccination, her side provided JAKI's additional quota for dose 2 with minimum 250 people per day per sub-district. Moreover, Health Centers and RSUDs open COVID-19 vaccination service on holidays and weekends with schedule options until evening.

"We will conduct sweeping to met dose 1 and 2 vaccination target for teenagers, teachers, school staffs, vulnerable group (pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, people with disabilities, and others). We will also continue to ensure coverage of dose 3 for health workers in the region by sweeping all health facilities," she stated.
